pats make statement in win over the jets

New additions on the field for the Pats and boy did they make an impact right away. The second play from scrimmage Winfield had a pick six off second year man Mark Sanchez. Winfield came in a trade earlier in the week and proved he can learn the play book on the fly. Than on the first offensive drive of the game Benn the rookie WR from Illinois caught his first TD. Brady the next drive would find his new number 1 reciever Sydney Rice giving the Pats 21-7 lead in the first quarter. The second quarter was pretty quite until the 2 minute warning Brady would find Hernandez for 80 yard touchdown. the Jets next series ended with Sanchez throwing his third INT of the game to Guyton who returned it for a TD. Brady would find Hernandez again in the third to make it a 42-7 game. But the Jets would not give up as they put up 21 unanswered points cutting the score to Patriots lead to 14 points. Brady would go on the seal the win with 30 yard TD pas to Cadillac Williams.
After the game Patriots head coach Bill Bellicheck said "It was good to come in here and make Rex be quite about a super bowl ring. We had another good day on the defense." When asked about the poor job Williams did running the ball he responded "Next week Benjarvus will be the starting running back." Brady had his first 300 yard passing game and threw 5 TDs but unfortunatly threw 3 INTs. Brady commented by saying "I did that last week and we won so who knows maybe it will be a habbit the rest of the season and we will continue to win games."
Fun Facts: Benn and Rice TDs were both their first of the season. Brandon Merriweather recorded his 4th INT of the season. Mayo finally found his way to the QB and recorded his first sack of the season. Winfield on the first two plays was involved in both first making a tackle for a loss on LT than getting a pick 6 on Mark Sanchez.
The Patriots will host the Buffalo Bills next week in which they hope to start the season 3-0 and finally play a game that doesn't involve rain.

Over the Past couple of years the Pats have found there way to the playoffs and everyear the Jags make it to the playoffs it seems the Pats defeat us well not this year I am throwing everything on the table im calling it this year the Jags are determined to be the superbowl winner by the end of this season thank you and God bless.?
