Re: Cowboys/ Browns Trade
I approve because I feel the draft pick matches up with Romos talent and the Browns are giving up youth for a vet. Essentially its a win win situation.

I agree. Trade can be processed once the week is over. (pending there is nobody who disapproves the trade)

I'm going to decline:
If Colt was an A potential I would pass it, but where he is only a B I feel like the pick should be a 2nd Rounder.

then i would propose giving up his 3rd rd pick for the next to years. However, i will still approve it how it is

Re: Cowboys/ Browns Trade
Ill have to decline this trade
I wouldnt say make the pick a 2nd but i would add another pick like a 4th or a 5th then i think it would be fair for both sides

Can't trade picks below the 3rd round. That's why I said make it a 2nd. If you could add picks below the 3rd, then that would be fine.

Re: Cowboys/ Browns Trade
what if I dont care that it is a 3rd round pick? I am getting younger at QB (which is what I want).
The actual offer was Romo for McCoy. He added the 3rd rounder. I would have accepted the trade straight up.
However, if you guys dont think it is fair, that I will abide by what you say.

The reason we hadd the pick is becasue i the off chancethe user gets booted or drops out we dont want the team to be destroyed or over balanced

Ok, I am confused. The original trade I offered was Romo for McCoy STRAIGHT up. I was even going to offer a 3rd rd pick, as I thought I was getting the better deal. (Yes Romo is A pot and McCoy is B pot)
He is the one that offered the 3rd rd pick. (Maybe for the difference in potential)
So, let's talk potential. Romo is an A and can progress to anywhere between 90-99. McCoy is a B and can progress from 80-89.
Romo is 89 now, so he can progress a total of 10 pts. (he could even REGRESS and he is 32 years old) McCoy is a 72, which means he can progress a total of 17 pts. Plus, he is younger.
Now, potential really doesnt matter to me, as I have played with C pot and D pot players and have done great with them. Hell, Kitna is a 68 and McGee is a 62 OVR, not sure about potential, as I am not near my system, but I have played online games with BOTH QBs and have thrown for over 300 yds with either one.
Now, I realize that I may be "shooting myself in the foot" with this trade by showing the upside to McCoy, but that is a chance I am willing to take. LOL
The above being said, if the Browns owner is still interested in working out this trade, I am down with that. Heck, I still think McCoy for Romo EVEN would be good for both, but if he wants to offer a pick, I would be stupid to not take it.
Anyway, I am just trying to get a jump on next season, since the Cowboys will trade for McCoy is real life anyway!
So, let me know if this will work. (pending Browns acceptance)
Romo for McCoy and Cleveland's 3rd. (orig trade)
OR
Romo for McCoy and Cleveland's 3rd AND 4th ( I know we cant trade under a 3rd, but in all actuality, I prob wont sign anyone but my top 3 picks anyway)
Let me know what everyone thinks. (sorry for the long post)
